Best buy: Purifying Mask

Over the last couple of months I have been trying out Palmer's cocoa butter formula with vitamin E purifying mask. I thought I'd give you the lowdown:

The Ingredients:

• Cocoa & Shea butters - these are going to deeply moisturise and nourish your skin
• Vitamin E - one of my favourite ingredients for the skin, this is a power antioxidant that will help reduce the redness of your skin
• Kaolin - this gently dries out the skin to detox and purify it
• Sweet Almond Oil - this is a lightweight skin emollient, which essential moisturises your skin and provides a natural barrier for it.
• Aloe Vera, Chamomile and Milk Proteins - these all soothed stressed skin. Your skin will be less red and inflamed

How and when to use it:

1. Before you use the mask make sure you cleanse your face. 
2.  Use hot water and a wash cloth to open up your pores. If you want you can put your face over a bowl of boiling water and let the steam open up your pores. 
3. You only need to apply a thin layer onto your skin. It is quite a thick product, but once you get it onto your skin, you'll be surprised how easy it is to spread. 
4. Leave the mask on for about 10 minutes. It won't dry completely. 
5. Finally, rinse well with water or use a damp washcloth to remove the mask. 
6. This mask should be used 1-3 times a week, I would start with once a week to see how your skin reacts and then you can start using it more often. 

The Results:
This is a mask that 'Draws out impurities and tightens and cools'. I usually apply this before I go to bed. After you have used this mask do not expect incredible results. What I mean by this is, this mask draws out impurities, so after you have used this, your spots are going to be brought to the surface, I was so shocked the first time I used it because I woke up with a load of white heads, but by bringing the impurities to the surface you are able to get rid of them quicker and all in one go. I recommend doing this when you have a couple of days for your skin to clear up afterwards. If you want to squeeze the whiteheads that appear, open up your pores with warm water, like stated in step 2 above, and use tissue to gently squeeze it. Apply a spot cream as soon as possible.
